A second generation Arizona native on his father’s side, Mitch Taylor was born in Tucson to an West Virginia mother and raised in Phoenix. His father was transferred to the Valley in 1972, and he’s lived here most of his life. A huge fan of the Pittsburgh pirates, Mitch also loves music and old muscle cars. He still has his first car, a 1970 Chevelle bought with the money saved from his paper route when he was a kid. Mitch worked in a grocery store on a midnight shift when got an opportunity to help someone with a flooring project. Tired of the midnight shift lifestyle, he took a significant pay cut to learn the flooring industry from the ground up, discovering that he enjoyed working with his hands. Mitch has now been in the flooring industry for 25 years, opening his first installation company, Taylor Installs, in the late 90s and has installed flooring for 20 years. He opened BRAM Flooring, a family owned flooring store named for himself and his family of four almost 8 years ago with a goal of phasing himself out of installations, “a pretty hard trade” that he didn’t want to be doing in his 50s and 60s. Now, he handles sales and overseeing the store as well as long time employees. Mitch focuses on giving the best product recommendations and value he can to each customer, educating them so they know what to expect with the wide range of products BRAM Flooring offers. “It’s an expensive purchase, and I want to make sure you’re getting the right product for your money, and make sure I’m the one to do that.” BRAM offers Free estimates and financing is available.
