Randy Wells, owner of Arizona Cycle Center has spent his entire life on motorcycles, and in the industry.
A 5th generation Arizona native, his father and grandfather worked in the copper mines around Arizona. The family homestead is just north of Douglas, but he grew up in Ajo, with his father and brothers riding, and began riding racing and working on bikes earlier than he recalls. Now his sons are or have been racers.
He moved to Phoenix because as a motorcycle racer, he needed a “motorcycle base”, and small towns don’t usually fit that bill.
Randy’s been a motorcycle mechanic for as long as he can remember.
He works on just about anything. Motorcycles, ATVs, and says his toughest job was having to rebuild the top end of a bike in the middle of a race. It took him about a half hour (at the track; he takes his time in the shop).
